Summary The purpose of this position is to provide quality service and products at the Neosho Municipal Golf Course Pro Shop, schedule and assist with tournaments, and oversee operations of the sales and concessions.
Supervision Received and Exercised Reports to the Golf Course Manager. Exercises supervision over the Pro Shop part-time and seasonal employees.
General Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supervise and manage the Pro Shop and Cart staff.
Manage the golf cart fleet and gasoline supply.
Create employee schedules and shift needs.
Ensure proper training of employees is scheduled and conducted.
Operates pro shop and concessions.
Complete routine inventory checks and audits.
Purchases vending supplies weekly.
Stocks all pro shop and concession products such as golf balls, gloves, shoes, clothing, etc.
Accounts for Pro Shop and Concessions revenue.
Manage the pro shop and concessions budget.
Maintains the storage area for all supplies.
Monitors updates and complies with Health Department codes.
Ensure that concession items are not past their expiration date.
Oversees liquor sales ensuring that all state and federal laws are strictly adhered to and enforced.
Coordinates all tournaments, league play, and set up of new jr. golf teams.
Manages Tee sheet.
Update golf course news via social media and city website.
Works closely with other golf course staff ensuring the flow of play is coordinated with maintenance and grounds work.
Cleaning of main office and pro shop.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
Health Department codes and regulations.
Golf rules and regulations.
Liquor laws and regulations.
Ability to:
Uphold staffing requirements for effective business operations of the golf course.
Conduct research about Health Department regulations.
Work alone without direct supervision.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and the general public.
Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have met the following qualifications:

Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Will be subject to background investigation.
Must successfully complete pre-employment substance abuse testing and general physical.
Will be subject to random substance abuse testing.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. One to three years of management experience in the field of golf course management and/or certifications or credentials in related fields preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply detailed and involved written or oral instructions.
Coordinate multiple and complex goals simultaneously.
Make decisions on procedural and technical levels involving work of all subordinates.
Demonstrate excellent work ethic and integrity.

hysical Demands
Position may include walking, standing, bending, or crouching for extended periods of time. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects of various weight, with the use of proper equipment.
Work Environment
Work is performed in an office setting amid normal conditions of dust, odors, fumes, and noises and involves a considerable amount of public contact.
Training:
Continually participate in additional training related to job as requested by supervisor.
Ability to apply new techniques of staff training, knowledge of human behavior and behavior modification.
