Duties
- Conduct thorough pre-suit investigations and due diligence to prepare for litigation.
- Design and implement strategic approaches for complex intellectual property cases.
- Oversee and manage intricate discovery processes, including negotiations.
- Lead or participate in taking and defending depositions.
- Draft detailed pleadings, motions, and pre-trial briefs with clarity and effectiveness.
- Represent clients in court, arguing motions such as evidentiary, claim construction, and dispositive motions.
- Draft compelling appellate briefs for higher court proceedings.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-6 years of hands-on experience in intellectual property litigation, encompassing patents, trademarks, and related disputes.
- Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of all litigation stages, from pre-suit analysis to appeals.
- Attributes: Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters independently and collaboratively.
Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a recognized, accredited law school.
- Admission to the Indiana State Bar or eligibility for Indiana Bar admission.
Certifications
- Active membership in good standing with a state bar association, with a preference for Indiana admission.
