Job Overview

A respected law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join its Corporate & Finance Practice Group. This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of sophisticated transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals, and strategic business transactions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of managing individual responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Location

Duties

• Handle mergers and acquisitions transactions from due diligence through closing

• Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, merger agreements, and related ancillary documents

• Advise clients on corporate governance, entity formation, and compliance matters

• Support private equity and venture capital deals

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to corporate clients

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients on complex transactional matters across various industries

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on M&A

• Exposure to both private equity and strategic transactions preferred

• Ability to manage transactional work independently and within a team

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

• Excellent academic credentials required

Certifications

• Active member of the Ohio State Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission
